Short version: this is a one-operator site. We collect the minimum needed to run your account and the Dispatch, we don’t sell it, we don’t run ad or tracking networks, and you can delete what you post.

What we collect
- From sign-in
- When you sign in with Google (or GitHub), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture to create and identify your account. We never receive your password.
- Your profile
- The handle and bio you choose. These are public.
- Your content
- Any posts and comments you write. These are public, except posts marked “members-only,” which are shown only to signed-in users.
- Technical
- A single essential session cookie to keep you signed in, and standard server logs kept by our hosting provider. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

How we use it
To run your account, show your public profile, publish your posts and comments, and keep you signed in. That’s it. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who it’s shared with
- Google / GitHub
- Only as the sign-in providers you choose to use, subject to their own privacy policies.
- Cloudflare
- Our hosting and database provider (Cloudflare Pages + D1), which stores and processes the data on our behalf.
- Nobody else
- No advertisers, no data brokers, no third-party analytics.

Your choices
- Edit
- Change your handle and bio anytime on your account page.
- Delete content
- Delete your own posts and comments anytime.
- Delete account
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data through any channel below. We’ll remove your profile, posts, and comments.
- Sign out
- Ends your session and clears the session cookie.

Retention & the rest
- Retention
- We keep your data until you delete it or ask us to delete your account.
- Security
- Sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies; we never store your sign-in password (we don’t receive one). No system is perfectly secure, but we keep it minimal on purpose.
- Age
- This site isn’t directed at children under 13. Don’t sign up if you’re under 13.
- Changes
- If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above.
